Early Years Teaching Assistant (2-Year-Old Provision)

Location: Thornton, L23, Liverpool
Start Date: Likely late May
Role Type: Temporary / Ongoing (subject to confirmation)

A Catholic Primary School is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to support their 2‑year‑old provision, starting later in May.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with strong EYFS experience, particularly within nursery or 2‑year‑old settings, who enjoys providing nurturing, child‑centred support during early development.

The Role:

  • Supporting children within a 2‑year‑old Early Years setting
  • Assisting with personal care routines, including toileting and hygiene
  • Supporting learning through play‑based, EYFS‑led activities
  • Working closely with the Nursery Manager and EYFS team
  • Promoting children’s emotional, social, and developmental progress
  • Ensuring all safeguarding and welfare standards are upheld

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience in Early Years, preferably with 2‑year‑olds
  • Be confident supporting personal care needs
  • Have a calm, caring, and patient approach
  • Understand the EYFS framework
  • Be reliable, proactive, and professional
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
