As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher in creating a stimulating and safe learning environment for our youngest learners. You will play a vital role in helping children develop socially, emotionally, and academically during their crucial early years.
Job Title: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant
Location: Padiham
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Start Date: Monday 1st September 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the teaching and learning of children aged 3–5 in the Early Years setting
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of learning activities
- Provide individual and small group support to pupils
- Promote positive behaviour and ensure the welfare and safety of all children
- Observe and record children’s progress in line with the EYFS framework
- Work closely with the class teacher and other staff to plan and deliver a creative curriculum
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children in an EYFS setting
- A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent)
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding requirements

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
