Teaching Assistant Opportunity – Primary School

Location: Bolton
Start Date: April 20th 2026

A warm and inclusive primary school is partnered with Teaching Personnel to appoint a caring, proactive, and committed Teaching Assistant to join their team from March.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside the class teacher to support high‑quality learning and contribute to a positive, engaging classroom environment. You’ll play an essential role in helping pupils achieve their potential through both academic and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support
  • Assisting in the planning, delivery, and assessment of engaging lessons
  • Helping maintain an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment
  • Supporting children with a variety of needs, including SEND and EAL
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and contributing to effective classroom management
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude and passion for education
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
  • A relevant TA qualification (beneficial but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
