A friendly and forward‑thinking mainstream primary school in Darwen is looking to appoint an EYFS Teacher for a one‑year position. This role is perfect for a teacher who is committed to delivering exceptional early years provision and supporting children as they take their first steps in education.

About the Role

You will lead a Nursery or Reception class, delivering a curriculum that promotes curiosity, independence and early learning skills. The school values creativity, strong relationships and a warm, child‑centred approach, making it an ideal environment for an enthusiastic EYFS specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate EYFS lessons

  • Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress in line with EYFS expectations

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents

  • Support wider school initiatives and early years activities

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Strong knowledge of EYFS pedagogy and practice

  • Ability to plan creative, play‑based learning experiences

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A caring, motivated and reflective approach to teaching
