A friendly and forward‑thinking mainstream primary school in Darwen is looking to appoint an EYFS Teacher for a one‑year position. This role is perfect for a teacher who is committed to delivering exceptional early years provision and supporting children as they take their first steps in education.
About the Role
You will lead a Nursery or Reception class, delivering a curriculum that promotes curiosity, independence and early learning skills. The school values creativity, strong relationships and a warm, child‑centred approach, making it an ideal environment for an enthusiastic EYFS specialist.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate EYFS lessons

Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Monitor and assess pupil progress in line with EYFS expectations

Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents

Support wider school initiatives and early years activities
What We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Strong knowledge of EYFS pedagogy and practice

Ability to plan creative, play‑based learning experiences

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A caring, motivated and reflective approach to teaching
