EYFS Supply Teacher

Position: EYFS / Nursery Teacher

Location: Stockport

Salary: £130 – £230 per day

Contract Type: Short-, Medium-, and Long-Term Supply

Responsibilities of an EYFS Supply Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons using pre-prepared plans or your own adapted early-years practice.
  • Create a warm, nurturing, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Support the learning, development, and wellbeing of pupils throughout the school day.
  • Build positive relationships quickly with children, staff, and school communities.
  • Follow EYFS curriculum guidance, safeguarding expectations, and school policies.
  • Provide brief handover notes for the returning teacher.
  • Adapt your teaching to meet the developmental needs of different classes and settings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Recent or relevant experience teaching in EYFS settings.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Professionalism, reliability, and a positive, flexible attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
