Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Gateshead. This is a full-time, long-term position starting 1st September, offering the opportunity to become a valued member of a supportive school community.
The Role
You'll be working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting pupils during a crucial stage of their development. Working closely with the class teacher, you'll help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or an equivalent EYFS-recognised qualification).
- Previous experience working within an EYFS setting.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
- Confidence in supporting children's learning through play and structured activities.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Availability to commit to a full-time, long-term role from 1st September.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the class teacher with daily classroom activities.
- Delivering engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS curriculum.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support where required.
- Encouraging children's social, emotional, and educational development.
- Helping to create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
