Day-to-Day & Long-Term Opportunities | Immediate Starts Available

£14.25 - £15.50 per hour (DOE)

Are you a passionate and reliable Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work or a longer-term role in education?

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to support a number of welcoming primary schools across the Widnes area. Due to our growing partnerships with local schools and increasing demand for supply staff, we have multiple opportunities available for candidates seeking both day-to-day cover and long-term placements.

We are looking for individuals who can support in both general classroom roles and SEN positions, helping pupils to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Your Responsibilities May Include:

  • Supporting pupils within the classroom environment
  • Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Assisting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Encouraging pupil engagement and positive behaviour
  • Working closely with teachers and other support staff
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people
  • A positive, patient and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Experience supporting SEN pupils is advantageous but not essential
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2, Level 3 TA or above) are desirable, though not essential for candidates with suitable experience

Immediate starts available. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) is required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
