Job description

About the Role

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary/secondary school in Brent who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the classroom. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact on young learners’ academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Help students with their learning, engagement, and behaviour
  • Support pupils with additional needs (SEND experience desirable)
  • Prepare classroom resources and support learning activities
  • Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children (school-based experience preferred)
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine interest in education and child development
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
