Exam Invigilator – Wigan
Reading & Scribing Support | Full Training Available | Secondary School
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Exam Invigilators to support a secondary school in Wigan during exam periods.
This role would suit someone who is reliable, calm and confident working with young people. Previous experience as an Exam Invigilator is not essential, as training and support will be provided.
The Role
You will help ensure students have a calm, fair and supportive environment during examinations. Alongside general invigilation duties, there may be opportunities to provide additional support to students with exam access arrangements.
Duties may include:
- Supervising students during examinations
- Supporting the smooth running of exam sessions
- Assisting students with reading and scribing
- Supporting students with approved exam access arrangements
- Ensuring exam regulations and procedures are followed
- Helping create a quiet and positive examination environment
- Reporting any concerns or issues to the relevant member of staff
Training Available
- Exam Invigilator training provided
- Training and guidance on reading and scribing support
- Ongoing support from Teaching Personnel
- Opportunities to gain valuable experience working within a secondary school

You don't need previous school or exam experience. We are looking for candidates who are:
- Reliable and punctual
- Calm and patient
- Confident communicating with young people
- Professional and responsible
- Able to follow instructions and school procedures
- Available to support schools during exam periods

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
