ESOL Tutor – Bedford Area
Teaching Personnel Tutor is currently seeking experienced and motivated ESOL Tutors to support learners across the Bedford area within community, home, and educational settings.
This role is ideal for tutors and educators who are passionate about helping learners develop their English language skills, improve confidence, and achieve greater independence in education, work, and daily life.
Role Details
- Location: Bedford and surrounding areas
- Position: ESOL Tutor
- Setting: Community venues, learners’ homes, or educational settings
- Hours: Flexible, including daytime sessions
- Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate
- Learners: Children, young people, and adults from diverse backgrounds
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging ESOL sessions tailored to learners’ individual language levels and goals
- Support learners with speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor learner progress and provide regular feedback
- Adapt teaching methods to meet varying abilities and needs
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience within the UK education sector
- Previous ESOL teaching/tutoring experience preferred
- Relevant ESOL, TEFL, CELTA, TESOL, or teaching qualification desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
