ESOL Tutor – Bedford Area
Location: Bedford and surrounding areas
Job Type: Part-time / Flexible Hours
Setting: School Setting or Pupil’s Home
Working Hours: During School Hours
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ESOL Tutor to support learners in the Bedford area. This role involves delivering personalised English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) tuition either within a school setting or at a pupil’s home during school hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and tailored ESOL tuition sessions based on individual learner needs.
- Support learners in developing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English.
- Plan and adapt lessons to suit different language abilities and learning styles.
- Build confidence and encourage learner participation and progress.
- Monitor learner development and provide feedback where required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring ESOL learners is preferred.
- Good understanding of ESOL teaching methods and the UK curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage sessions effectively.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
