Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Contract: Full-Time
Pay: £130–£251 per day (paid to scale from Day 1)

About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing timely and effective feedback
- Support students in developing confidence, independence, and a passion for English
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to departmental success
- Uphold high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and academic achievement
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
- Demonstrates a passion for delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Possesses excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Is committed to raising standards and supporting student achievement
- Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life
