SEMH English Teacher

We are working with a school who specialize in supporting young learners with SEMH needs, helping them navigate their academic journey while addressing their emotional and social challenges.
The Role:
As an SEMH English Teacher, you will work with small groups of students, using creative and engaging lessons tailored to their individual needs. You will focus on delivering high-quality English lessons while also providing support with the social and emotional challenges that may impact their learning. Your role will involve:
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated English lessons for students with SEMH needs.
- Supporting students to build their literacy and communication skills in a safe, inclusive environment.
- Collaborating with a team of professionals to support students' emotional, social, and academic development.
- Using restorative practices and behavior management strategies to create a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to students and their families.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and has experience teaching English at secondary level.
- Has a strong understanding of SEMH and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
- Is compassionate, patient, and resilient, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
- Is committed to continuous professional development and ensuring the best outcomes for students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
