English Teacher required for secondary schools in Southampton
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our team and inspire students in secondary schools across Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to start their teaching journey in a supportive and dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons to secondary school students.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupil participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school administration to support pupil learning and development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum changes.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in English or a related field.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
