Full-time English Teaching Position

January 2024 start for a full-time English teaching position in a large 'Good' graded Bolton-based Secondary school.

  • Initially offered on a temporary basis for one term.
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS Scale
  • Open to applications from Newly Qualified English Teachers and experienced English teachers.
  • The school is seeking a full-time English teacher from January 2024 to fill a temporary gap in the English department for one term.

To be considered, you must hold QTS specialising in English or have experience teaching English to students aged 11-16 up to GCSE level. Engaging teaching methods that inspire enthusiasm and excitement in classes are essential.

As an English teacher, you'll deliver carefully crafted schemes of work covering Reading, Writing, and Speaking & Listening. Assessment will focus on a variety of texts and writing skills, preparing students for GCSE examinations in EDUQAS English Language and English Literature.

The school, with a recent 'Good' Ofsted grading, offers a supportive environment with regular training and departmental reviews. NQTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply. CPD and training sessions are provided to ensure an 'Outstanding' level of teaching.

Located a few miles from Bolton train station, the school is easily accessible via the M60 or M61, making areas like Bury, Salford, Manchester, and Wigan commutable.
