English Teacher

Job description

The School which is based in Sherborne, is looking to appoint a teacher of English to join them part time in September. The successful Candidate will be tasked with assisting the team and the Head of Faculty in providing professional and engaging lessons for all pupils. Ensuring high quality teaching across the Key Stages 3-4, as well as improved standards of learning and high levels of achievement for all students. The School are looking to enhance their provision of English across the Key Stages and in order to achieve this they need an ambitious Teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning.

The School is a small independent school with a  location that offers access to the A303 and A30 whilst the Sherborne town provides the prettiest location.

The School are equally interested in considering NQTs, and more experienced Teachers who are:

  • Ambitious in their career; and show an interest in continual professional and personal development
  • Able to demonstrate an excellent track record of teaching and learning in their subject
  • Strong communicators, with a flare for motivating others, with experience in leadership
  • Expert in English Language and Literature with a willingness to support KS2/3 Literacy transition, as well as up to KS5

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
