Are you a passionate and adaptable English Teacher looking for flexible work across secondary schools in Wimbledon and the surrounding South West London areas?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a range of mainstream secondary schools who are seeking confident English Teachers to provide last-minute and short-term cover, as well as longer-term support where required, ensuring continuity of learning when staff are absent.

About the Role

  • Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3–KS4

  • KS5 opportunities available depending on experience

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons or planning engaging sessions where required

  • Roles available across Wimbledon, Merton, Kingston, Sutton, and surrounding areas

  • Day-to-day, short-term, and long-term roles available

  • Ideal for teachers open to early-morning (7am) calls for same-day cover

  • Full-time and part-time flexibility

What We’re Looking For

✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
✔️ Degree in English or a related subject
✔️ Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
✔️ Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
✔️ Flexibility and reliability, including availability for last-minute bookings
✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
