Job description

Secondary English Teacher

Location: S1 & surrounding areas of Sheffield
Start Date: Immediate or flexible starts available
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel are working closely with secondary schools across Sheffield (S1 and nearby areas) to recruit a passionate and dedicated Secondary English Teacher. This role offers the opportunity to teach KS3 and KS4, with the potential to work with KS5 and SEN depending on experience and school needs.

This is an excellent opportunity whether you’re seeking an immediate start or a more flexible arrangement.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across the secondary curriculum

  • Opportunities to teach KS5 and/or support SEN learners

  • Adapt teaching to meet diverse student needs

  • Work collaboratively with school staff to support pupil progress

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply

  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills

  • A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching
