Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing
Salary: Paid to scale 

Teaching Personnel are delighted to be partnering with a thriving secondary school in Northumberland to appoint a passionate and driven English Teacher to join their team in January 2026. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented educator who can spark curiosity, instil confidence, and help students thrive in both English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school offers a warm, supportive environment where creativity is encouraged, high standards are championed, and student success is at the heart of everything they do.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 learners.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with the national curriculum.
  • Support pupils in achieving their target grades, including focused exam preparation.
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community, including extracurricular opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching English at secondary level.
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Is committed to supporting young people, boosting attainment, and fostering a love of learning.
