English Teacher – Newton Abbot

Location: Newton Abbot, Devon and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Flexible placements (full-time and part-time opportunities)

Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic and creative English Teacher to join our team and work across secondary schools in the Newton Abbot area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire a love of language, literature, and learning in students across KS3 and KS4.

You’ll plan and deliver engaging English lessons that develop students’ confidence in reading, writing, and communication. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an ECT, this role offers variety, professional growth, and the chance to make a real difference in the classroom.

What You’ll Bring:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent secondary teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A flexible, positive approach and commitment to student progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
