English Teacher - Greenwich

The PWR team are looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the vibrant borough of Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire young minds and foster a love of literature and language within a supportive and dynamic English department. The school boasts excellent facilities and a commitment to continuous professional development for all staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, depending on experience and departmental needs. You will be expected to contribute to curriculum development, assess student progress, and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment. A strong understanding of the national curriculum for English is essential, along with a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes for students.

We are seeking an individual who is committed to raising attainment and who can bring innovative teaching methodologies to the classroom. Whether you are an NQT looking for your first role or an experienced teacher seeking a new challenge, we encourage you to apply. This role is on the Inner London pay scale. A Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) might be available for a suitably experienced candidate looking to take on additional departmental responsibilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
