Teacher of English (Full-Time)

Location: Darwen, Lancashire
Contract: April 2026 – October 2026 (Full-Time, Fixed Term)
Sector: Mainstream Secondary School

Are you an inspiring English teacher with a passion for bringing literature and language to life? A welcoming and high‑achieving mainstream secondary school in Darwen is seeking a dedicated Teacher of English to join their team from April 2026 through to October 2026.

The Role

You will:

  • Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support progress for all learners.
  • Contribute to the wider English department, including curriculum planning and assessment.
  • Support the school’s ethos by fostering a positive, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, CPD, and whole‑school responsibilities as required.
