Contract: April 2026 – October 2026 (Full-Time, Fixed Term)

Are you an inspiring English teacher with a passion for bringing literature and language to life? A welcoming and high‑achieving mainstream secondary school in Darwen is seeking a dedicated Teacher of English to join their team from April 2026 through to October 2026.
The Role
You will:
- Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support progress for all learners.
- Contribute to the wider English department, including curriculum planning and assessment.
- Support the school’s ethos by fostering a positive, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings, CPD, and whole‑school responsibilities as required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
