Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to join one of our welcoming partner secondary schools in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students, foster a love of literature, and contribute to a dynamic English department.

About the Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, creative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable).
  • Teach a broad curriculum including literature, language, writing skills, and critical analysis.
  • Use effective assessment to track pupil progress and inform teaching.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports learners of all abilities.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, department initiatives, and whole-school literacy strategies.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic achievement.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS or QTLS (ECTs and experienced teachers encouraged to apply).
  • Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for English.
  • Can deliver inspiring lessons that motivate students and build confidence.
  • Shows excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Is reflective, proactive, and eager to contribute to school improvement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
