We’re currently looking for experienced and compassionate English Teachers to provide tailored tuition across Calverton and the surrounding areas in Nottinghamshire.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to deliver English tuition outside the traditional classroom setting and truly make a difference.

You’ll be working directly with students in their homes or local community venues around Calverton, providing engaging and structured lessons that are tailored to individual learning plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality English tuition (1:1 or in small groups)

• Adapt lessons to suit various learning styles and abilities

• Simplify complex topics to aid understanding and build confidence

• Provide clear, constructive written feedback after each session

• Follow safeguarding and child protection policies at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Strong subject knowledge of the English curriculum

• Experience supporting students with SEND and/or SEMH needs

• Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills

• A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching

• Current safeguarding training

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
