Job description

A mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher to join their department as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner who is confident teaching English across KS3 and KS4 and who is able to inspire students of varying abilities. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive school with a strong focus on high standards of teaching and learning.

The successful English Teacher will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have proven experience teaching English at secondary level

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and the ability to engage and motivate learners

  • Be committed to raising attainment and supporting student progress

  • Be a positive team player with a proactive and professional approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
