Looking for a fresh start in your teaching career?

Teaching Personnel are working with a oversubscribed school in Christchurch who are looking to appoint a English teacher on a temporary contract from January 2024 until December 2024. This role would be a full time role teaching English to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This role would be covering a maternity with the potential view of becoming a permanent position after this initial period

We welcome applicants who:

  • Have gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE
  • Can confidently plan and delegate a daily routine for support staff within the classroom;
  • Are either Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) or experienced classroom practitioners;
  • Seek a long term position teaching a full timetable with the relevant time set aside for Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA).

The School are a "good" place to work, as graded by Ofsted in 2017, who cater for students between 11-16 year olds, with the view to add a sixth form in the next few years having around 700-800 students on roll.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
