English Teacher Job in Bath – Secondary School

Are you a passionate and fully qualified English Teacher looking for a new teaching role in Bath? Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Bath to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated English specialist to join their team from December or January.

This is an excellent opportunity for an English Teacher in Bath who is keen to inspire young people and make a real impact in a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

The Role – English Teacher (KS3 & KS4)

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that promote a love of reading, writing, and effective communication.

The school benefits from a positive and inclusive atmosphere, with generally good behaviour. However, as with any secondary school, the ability to demonstrate strong classroom management, confidence, and consistency is essential to maintain a focused and productive learning environment.

The Ideal English Teacher Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English education

  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 English

  • The ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students of all abilities

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A professional approach and commitment to maintaining high academic and behavioural standards

Additional Information

Teachers are expected to dress professionally, setting a positive example for students from the start of the school day. The school day begins at 8:40am, so applicants must have reliable transport or commuting arrangements to Bath.
