The Opportunity
Teaching Personnel Liverpool is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of English to join their team. You will be responsible for delivering both English Language and English Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop essential literacy skills while encouraging a deeper understanding and appreciation of texts.
Your Role Will Include
- Delivering engaging and structured English lessons that challenge and motivate learners
- Supporting students in developing analytical, writing, and comprehension skills
- Tracking student performance and implementing strategies to support progress
- Creating a positive and respectful learning environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the English department
- Contributing to extracurricular activities such as reading clubs or revision sessions
We Are Looking For
- A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
- A strong academic background in English or a related discipline
- The ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities
- Effective behaviour management skills
- A proactive and reflective approach to teaching
- Commitment to continuous professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
