Opportunity to support students within a secondary school with reading interventions and English tuition.
- Full-time English Graduate required
- Start Date – 15th April
- Supporting students in small groups who require extra literacy focus to raise their attainment.
- Earn up to £1860 per month, dependent on experience.
- Based within a secondary school in North Manchester.
Roles and responsibilities involved:
- Working alongside class teachers supporting students aged 11-16.
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs and SEN.
- Expected to incorporate inventions to aid the student’s learning and behaviour with the hopes of raising their progress and attainment.
- Assisting students on a 1:1 basis when they are withdrawn from English lessons to attend literacy intervention sessions.
To be considered for this English Graduate role it is required that you have experience of working with children or young people previously. You must also have a degree within English or a transferrable subject. It is also important to have professional or personal experience supporting pupils who have SEN.
Our client school is based in North Manchester and can be accessed via the M62 and A56 from surrounding areas for those who have their own transportation. For non-drivers, there are several forms of public transport with links to Oldham, Failsworth and Tameside.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
