Role: Classroom Support Assistant

Area: Hounslow

A well-established Outstanding special school in Hounslow is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Classroom Support Assistants to join their growing team. Due to continued expansion, the school is looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with complex learning needs and helping them reach their full potential. This specialist provision caters for pupils with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), providing a highly supportive and nurturing environment where every achievement is celebrated.

The school benefits from exceptional facilities, a collaborative team culture and a strong commitment to staff development. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils both academically and personally throughout the school day. You will play a key role in helping students develop communication, independence and life skills whilst creating a safe and engaging learning environment. You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, Complex Needs, Severe Learning Difficulties and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.

A typical day may involve supporting learning activities, promoting communication and social development, assisting with sensory needs and providing personal care where required. The school is looking for individuals who are calm, resilient and committed to making a genuine difference in the lives of young people. Previous SEN experience is desirable, however candidates with transferable skills and the right attitude are encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
