Early Years Teaching Assistant – Kingswood
Frequency: Part-Time/Full-Time
Location: Kingswood (BS15)
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to work in the BS15 area on a part-time or full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a practitioner who is passionate about helping young children grow, learn, and thrive.
In this role, you will support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, working closely with teachers to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment. Your support will help children build confidence, develop key skills, and feel secure during their early education journey.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the class teacher in delivering EYFS learning activities and tailored interventions
• Provide both 1:1 and small‑group support, including for children with SEN
• Observe and monitor children’s progress, feeding back to teaching staff
• Help create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and their families to promote strong home–school partnerships
Requirements & Desirable Skills
• Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification in Early Years / Childcare / Supporting Teaching & Learning
• Ability to adapt your approach to meet the diverse needs of young learners
• Experience working in early years (nursery or reception)
• Knowledge of PECs or Makaton (desirable, not essential)
• A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• A warm, patient, and engaging approach to working with young children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
