Location: Newport
Start Date: November 2025
Pay: From £89 per day (pro-rata for part-time)
Hours: Monday–Friday | Full and half days available

A warm and inclusive primary school in Newport is looking for a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team this November. This is a wonderful opportunity to support children in Nursery and Reception, helping them build the foundations for lifelong learning.


The Role
As part of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team, you’ll help children learn through play, structure, and encouragement. You’ll provide individual and small-group support, promoting communication, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily learning activities and classroom routines

  • Assist in delivering individual support plans

  • Encourage participation through play-based learning

  • Promote communication, confidence, and independence


About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Patient, caring, and reliable

  • Passionate about early education and inclusion

  • Experienced in a school, nursery, or care setting (personal experience supporting children is also valued)

  • Familiar with EYFS principles and early learning methods


Requirements:

  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • References covering the last 24 months
