Early Years Teacher (Nursery) – Full-Time Role – September Start
Washington
Monday to Friday (Full-Time, Term Time Only)

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a caring, creative, and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Washington, working within their nursery provision from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate early years practitioner to play a key role in shaping young children’s first experiences of education, supporting their development through high-quality, play-based learning.
The Role
As an Early Years Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Support children’s development across all areas of learning, including communication, language, personal, social, and emotional development
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and independence
- Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, adapting provision to meet individual needs
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff within the nursery setting
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers, sharing updates on children’s development
- Support children with additional needs, including those with SEND
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant Early Years qualification
- Have experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting
- Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Be patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about early childhood education
- Have experience supporting children with SEND (desirable)
- Be reliable and committed to a full-time role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
