EYFS Teacher (2-Year-Old Provision & Pre-School) – Bishop Auckland
Are you an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner looking to make a real difference in the earliest stages of education? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join our team in Bishop Auckland, working primarily within our 2-year-old provision while playing a key role in our thriving pre-school setting.
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to shape children’s first experiences of education, supporting their development from age two through to school readiness.
About the Role
You will lead high-quality teaching and learning within our 2-year-old room, creating a nurturing, engaging, and language-rich environment where children can flourish. Alongside this, you will work closely with our pre-school team, contributing to planning, provision, and smooth transitions as children progress towards Reception.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver inspiring, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
- Support children’s development across all areas, with a strong focus on communication, personal development, and early learning skills
- Work collaboratively across the 2-year-old and pre-school provision to ensure consistency and progression
- Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, adapting provision to meet individual needs
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and colleagues
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and reflective team culture
We Are Looking For
- A qualified teacher with QTS (or an ECT looking to begin their career in EYFS)
- A genuine passion for early years education and child development
- Creativity, warmth, and a nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to high-quality provision and continuous professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
