Early Career Teachers (ECTs) – Supply Roles in Primary Schools across Carlisle
Start Date: 23rd February 2026 (with ongoing opportunities throughout the year)
Contract: Full-time and long-term supply positions, with potential for permanent school-based contracts
Salary: £120 - £160
Teaching Personnel are working with several ‘GOOD’ and ‘OUTSTANDING’ Primary Schools across Carlisle who are seeking enthusiastic and committed Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to join their teams on a supply basis. These roles offer fantastic opportunities to complete your induction year while gaining experience in a variety of school settings.
About the Roles
- Supply positions available across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
- Full-time roles starting 23rd February 2026, with flexibility for day-to-day and longer-term bookings
- Full support from SLT and experienced mentors throughout your ECT induction
- Opportunities to work in inclusive classrooms and develop engaging lesson plans
What We’re Looking For
- A proactive and creative ECT with QTS
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
- Ability to adapt lessons for diverse needs, including SEN (sensory/physical needs)
- Excellent behaviour management and a positive outlook

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
