EYFS Teaching Assistant – Blackpool (FY4)

  • EYFS TA – Primary School in Blackpool

A welcoming Primary School in Blackpool is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team on a full-time basis starting in September 2026.

This role will involve supporting children who are new to the EYFS setting, including those requiring additional support with speech and language development, undiagnosed Special Educational Needs (SEN) and personal care. You will work across Nursery and Reception, helping children to settle into school life and access learning in a safe, nurturing environment.

The school provides a supportive and inclusive setting, with a strong focus on early intervention and ensuring every child is given the best possible start to their education. You will work closely with class teachers and the wider EYFS team to deliver targeted support, including small group work and 1:1 interventions where needed.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working within the EYFS setting
  • Have experience supporting children with additional needs, including speech & language and SEN
  • Be confident supporting pupils with personal care needs
  • Be patient, nurturing and able to build strong relationships with young children
  • Be a positive and enthusiastic role model

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
