Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective drama lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters creativity, confidence, and a love for drama.
  • Organize and direct school productions, drama clubs, and extracurricular activities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching drama at secondary school level (preferred but not essential for the right candidate).
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
