About the Role
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Design & Technology (DT) Technician to support secondary schools across Liverpool.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a practical skillset and previous school-based or workshop experience to play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging DT lessons.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for DT lessons
- Support the DT Teacher with practical classroom activities
- Maintain and organise workshop spaces and resources
- Ensure equipment is safe, clean, and ready for use
- Assist with stock control and ordering materials when required
- Support students during practical sessions where appropriate
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role or relevant practical/workshop environment is essential
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of health and safety within a DT or workshop setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive and hands-on approach
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience working within a school setting
- Knowledge of materials such as wood, metal, plastics, or electronics
- Familiarity with DT machinery and tools
