Design & Technology Teacher

A forward-thinking and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking to appoint an ambitious and skilled Design and Technology Teacher to join their team. The school is looking for a teacher who can deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach across a range of specialisms – such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics or Engineering – would be highly advantageous.

The Role:

• Teaching Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4

• Planning and delivering creative, hands-on lessons that inspire innovation

• Supporting students in developing practical skills, technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities

• Monitoring progress and providing clear, constructive feedback

• Contributing to curriculum development and extra-curricular opportunities

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

• Has experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level

• Demonstrates strong classroom management and organisational skills

• Is passionate about practical learning and fostering creativity

• Has the ability to motivate and stretch learners of all abilities
