Design & Technology Teacher – Blandford Forum
Location: Blandford Forum, Dorset
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: MPS/UPS, dependent on experience
Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming secondary school in Blandford Forum who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Design & Technology Teacher to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys delivering practical, engaging lessons and is passionate about helping young people develop both their technical skills and creativity. You will play an important role in delivering an inspiring DT curriculum and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
The Role:

Deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Plan practical and theory-based lessons that cater to a range of abilities.

Encourage students to develop their creativity, problem-solving and practical skills.
-
Maintain a positive, safe and well-managed learning environment.

Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Work collaboratively with the wider Design & Technology department.

Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular opportunities where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate:
-
QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
-
Experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school.
-
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical learning.
-
Confident classroom management skills.
-
Able to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
-
A positive, reliable and adaptable approach to teaching.
