Day-to-Day Supply Teachers – Secondary Schools | Brighton & Surrounding Areas

Secondary schools across Brighton and the surrounding areas are currently looking for qualified teachers to support on a day-to-day supply basis.

This is a great opportunity for teachers who are looking for flexibility, variety, and a better work-life balance, while still staying connected to the classroom and making a positive impact.

The Role

As a day-to-day supply teacher, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across your subject specialism
  • Maintain classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Adapt to different school settings and year groups
  • Provide continuity for pupils in the absence of their regular teacher
  • Uphold school policies and expectations

There is no planning required for day-to-day roles, allowing you to focus on teaching and classroom delivery.


Who This Role Suits

This role is ideal for teachers who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have experience teaching in secondary schools
  • Are confident managing a classroom independently
  • Are adaptable and comfortable working in different school environments
  • Value flexibility and variety in their working week

Access to a car can be beneficial for travelling between schools, although it is not essential.

If you do not currently hold one, you will need to apply for a DBS through us.
We will support you through the process, though the cost is covered by the applicant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
