£170–£250 per day (PAYE – no umbrella companies)

Teaching Personnel are working with a range of welcoming and well-resourced schools across South West London who are seeking Creative & Practical Subject Teachers specialising in Design Technology (DT), Food Technology, Art, or Music for September starts.

These roles are ideal for enthusiastic, hands-on educators who are passionate about creativity and skill development, and who are comfortable teaching across primary and potentially lower secondary age groups.

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

The Role – Creative & Practical Subject Teacher

As a full-time teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging, practical, and inspiring lessons within your specialist subject.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering creative and hands-on lessons in DT, Food Tech, Art, or Music
  • Teaching across KS1, KS2, and potentially KS3 depending on experience
  • Encouraging creativity, expression, and practical skill development
  • Creating a safe and engaging learning environment, particularly in practical settings
  • Adapting lessons to meet pupils of varying abilities and learning styles
  • Promoting student engagement, confidence, and independence
  • Managing behaviour effectively and maintaining high standards
  • Contributing to wider school life, including clubs, performances, or projects

  • Hold QTS (essential)
  • Have experience teaching DT, Food Tech, Art, or Music in UK schools
  • Are confident delivering practical and creative lessons
  • Are adaptable and comfortable working across different age groups
  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Are passionate about creativity and student engagement
  • Bring energy, innovation, and professionalism to their teaching
  • Are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
