This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school staff looking for flexible work within education.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will deliver pre-set work, ensure students remain on task, and manage classroom behaviour effectively.

This is not a teaching role, but strong classroom presence and confidence managing groups of students are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 opportunities available)
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials set by teaching staff
• Ensure pupils remain engaged and complete set work
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Respond to any immediate issues or incidents appropriately
• Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons
• Uphold safeguarding procedures at all times

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work, etc.)
• Strong behaviour management and confidence leading a classroom
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, professional, and adaptable approach
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
• Degree-level education is desirable but not essential
• Willingness to travel across Tameside
