Cover Supervisors Required – Secondary Schools Across Kent
Start Date: September 2026
Teaching Personnel are seeking confident, reliable, and experienced Cover Supervisors to work in Secondary Schools across Kent from September.
We are partnering with a number of schools that are looking for enthusiastic individuals to provide classroom supervision during teacher absences. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous experience working with young people in educational settings who are looking to make a positive impact in schools.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work to classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged, on task, and working in a productive learning environment.
You will supervise students across a range of subjects, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and provide support to pupils where required.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with secondary-aged students in a school, youth work, coaching, mentoring, tutoring, or similar setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Confidence leading a classroom and engaging groups of students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full-time availability from September.
- A proactive, professional, and adaptable approach.
Locations
We have opportunities available predominantly in:
- Maidstone
- Medway
- Dartford
- Chatham
However, we are keen to hear from experienced Cover Supervisors and education professionals from across Kent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
