About the Role

An inclusive and well-regarded secondary school is seeking a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to support teaching and learning across a range of subjects. This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, experienced cover supervisors, or individuals with experience working with young people.

The successful candidate will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensure students remain engaged with pre-planned work, and maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a variety of subjects.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student participation.
  • Support the wider school community during breaktimes and school events.
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Promote high standards of attendance, behaviour, and achievement.

Requirements

  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Confidence working independently with groups of students.
  • A proactive and professional attitude.

Secondary Teaching Assistant

Location: Brent, North West London
Salary: £90 - £115 per day (Dependent on Experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

A welcoming secondary school is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students both inside and outside the classroom. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and helping young people reach their potential.

The role will involve supporting students with varying learning needs, working alongside teachers to enhance classroom engagement, and providing targeted intervention support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students in lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions.
  • Assist students with SEND, EAL, and additional learning needs.
  • Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Encourage student confidence, independence, and engagement.
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support student progress.
  • Contribute to a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with young people is advantageous.
