For the Summer Term and beyond, Teaching Personnel are dedicating extensive time to recruiting Cover Supervisors in the Luton and Bedfordshire area alongside the support of Secondary Schools Consultant Lauren. With 2 years experience working with Secondary Schools in the Luton and Bedfordshire area, Lauren is equipped to provide you advice & support throughout the vetting process, and be able to offer you opportunities in this area once you have passed vetting & schools re-open from February Half Term.

The Cover Supervisor role is ideal for budding Graduates with a ready passion for Education or an experienced Cover Supervisor themselves. This role can provide the opportunity to gain further experience supporting a school which can potentially lead to integrated school training in a programme offerred by the school - we are here as a stepping stone to this end goal!

Locally, Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with secondary schools and academies across Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Leighton Buzzard, Luton, Central Bedfordshire, Bedford, Milton Keynes and Aylesbury.

The role of the cover supervisor:

-          Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher, with pre-set work.

-          Provide cover across a range of subjects in the secondary curriculum.

-          Providing cover, 1:1 support and intervention within your specialist subject.

-          Gaining invaluable classroom based experience in support of a future teacher training application.

Cover supervisors will have access to an online diary to manage their work availability. Work will be offered on a daily basis, and can be flexible but can also be offered on a full-time basis. The school day usually commences from 08:30am until 15:20pm, it is essential that you are available during these hours for this role to be suitable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
