We are currently recruiting for experienced Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Bradford.

⚠️ Please note: Previous experience working within a school setting is essential. Applications from candidates without school-based experience will not be considered.

This role is ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, or individuals who have previously worked within a secondary school environment and are confident managing a classroom independently.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
• ‍ Supervise and manage classrooms independently.
• ✅ Ensure students remain focused and complete assigned work.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Record attendance and report any concerns.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff.
• ️ Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Essential Requirements

✅ To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Previous experience working within a school environment (essential).
• ‍ Experience managing groups of children or young people within a classroom setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly.
• ️ An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• The right to work in the UK.
