Flexible Secondary School Work Across Tameside
Do you have experience working in secondary schools or supporting young people in an educational setting? Are you looking for flexible, rewarding work that makes use of your classroom expertise?
Teaching Personnel is recruiting experienced Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across Tameside, including Ashton-under-Lyne, Denton, Hyde, Droylsden and nearby areas.
This role is ideal for individuals with school-based experience who are confident supervising classes, managing behaviour, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
This role is to begin asap starting after April half term with opportunities for May and September starts too.
What Does a Cover Supervisor Do?
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons set by the class teacher
- Manage the classroom and ensure students stay engaged and on task
- Support pupils with learning and behaviour where required
- Build positive working relationships with students and staff
- Gain valuable additional experience across a variety of subjects and year groups
Who We’re Looking For
This role suits individuals who:
- Have experience working in secondary schools or with young people aged 11–16
- Are confident in leading a classroom and managing behaviour
- Are professional, reliable and able to adapt to different school environments
- Can engage students and maintain a purposeful atmosphere
- Want flexible work that fits around other commitments or career plans
- Individuals willing to travel around Manchester via car or public transport

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
