Cover Supervisor - Secondary School
We are currently recruiting reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors based in or near to Stockport (SK8) to support a our partnering secondary schools on a day-to-day supply basis, with work available ASAP and in September.
This role is ideal for individuals who are flexible, happy to receive morning calls, and keen to gain experience working across different school environments. You’ll play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning when teaching staff are absent. You will need to be happy to travel to different schools and have previous experience working as a cover supervisor or in an educational environment.
Location: Stockport
Role Type: Day-to-day / flexible work
Start Date: ASAP and September
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience (£90 - £110 a day)
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
- Delivering pre-set lesson plans and ensuring students remain on task
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Supporting pupils with their work where appropriate
- Adapting quickly to different schools and classroom settings
Who We’re Looking For
- Individuals based in Stockport or able to travel locally
- Available for day-to-day work, including bookings on short notice
- Comfortable with calls on the morning for bookings
- Confident working with secondary school students
- Previous experience working with young people (tutoring, coaching, youth work) in an educational setting or as a cover supervisor
- Strong communication skills and a calm, professional manner
