Location: St Helens & Surrounding Areas
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in St Helens and surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for confident and adaptable individuals who have previous experience working in school settings and can effectively manage a classroom in the absence of the class teacher.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absence
  • Deliver pre-set lessons and ensure students remain on task
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and progress

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a secondary school setting is essential
  • Strong behaviour management skills and confidence leading a classroom
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A calm, professional, and flexible approach
